As lifejackets become more accepted and worn more frequently, the need for general maintenance and annual service is greater, to ensure that your safety equipment operates as intended.
Understanding how your lifejackets operates and how it should perform, will help you carry out these general maintenance checks. Identifying loose cylinders, ensuring your lifejacket is packed correctly in order for it to inflate efficiently and detecting early signs of damage and /or wear and tear is vital to its performance and your survival. If you are unsure please bring in your lifejacket and we will be pleased to check it and re-pack it for you.
We recommend that lifejackets should be serviced annually, at Liferaft and Inflatable Center our qualified technician which have been trained by the manufacturers will carry out an extensive manufacturer recommended checks, during the service including inflation tests, gas cylinder and operating head inspection and buckle/zip closure examinations.
